Rev. Christopher M. Moore is the Assistant to the Pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Kalamazoo, MI.  Rev. Moore began the lecture series today by telling us that in order to minister effectively to transform our communities, we must know what kind of day it is today.  He challenges us to think critically about our communities and make the necessary adjustments.

Rev. Roy L. Manning, Sr. is the Pastor of Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church of Saginaw, MI and also a Vice-President of the Wolverine State Missionary Baptist Convention, Inc.  Rev. Manning transparently shares how he was impacted by preparing his lecture and shares how many of us do not position ourselves to see the needs of others.  He helps us adjust so that we can see what is really going on in our communities.  We must choose the window seat and not the aisle seat.

Rev. Carlos D. Williams is the Pastor of Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle of Flint, MI.  Rev. Williams tells us the purpose of weight training and body building and uses this analogy to describe the ideal church.  Ideally, churches should practice weight training so that we can actually do something.  If we practice only body building, we look good but are weak to do anything substantial.  Rev. Williams helps our thinking so that we can transform our communities.
