During a breakfast on September 8, 2011, focused on raising money for foreign mission work at the National Baptist Convention, First Lady Gwendolyn L. Moore was crowned Queen. She is now the 2011-2012 Queen of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.’s Minister’s Wives and Widowers.  She and other first ladies from across the country competed for the prize of queen.  Each participant raised money, from their state, toward foreign mission work in Africa.

The Wolverine State Congress of Christian Education salutes First Lady Moore for this outstanding acomplishment and recognition.

First Lady Moore is the first lady of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Kalamazoo, Michigan.  She is married to Dr. Addis Moore, pastor of Mt. Zion and current president of the Wolverine State Congress.  She also holds several Master’s degrees in nursing and hospital administration and is a professional in the medical field.

Dr. & First Lady Moore are the proud parents of two sons, Min. Michael A. Moore and Rev. Christopher M. Moore.
